Hello everyone-

I ‘d like to apologize in advance to those of you who may receive this email twice.

The ship from Olbia to Fredrikstad offloaded 18 Farr 40’s Thursday. If you haven’t yet seen the photo on the website click this link to the homepage. www.farr40.org.

The shot was courtesy of Chicco from Joe Fly. Seeing that many F40’s on the deck of a ship is pretty impressive! The Nordic Championship is approaching quickly. I’ve attached all the regatta documents for your use (CLICK HERE)

Several of you have already submitted your App 5 / Crew Declarations, but most of you have not. Please return your App 5’s ASAP, so that your crews’ eligibility can be verified. You may submit the other documents at registration.

Please make sure your Class dues and One Design Certificates are current and if you’ve recently purchased your boat, that you have declared your base inventory. If anyone need sail buttons for new sails, I will have them with me, but would prefer to hear of your needs prior to registration.

We will be doing safety inspections in HankØ and Skagen. Everyone should have all required Cat 4 equipment on board, including the required (and buttoned) storm sails. Most of you were in Porto Cervo, so you should be in good shape.

For those of you who haven’t seen it, HERE is an email from Pieter Flohil of Spliethoff. Eivind has once again worked his magic to obtain a very favorable shipping rate for us. Peter’s email outlines their offer to ship from Copenhagen to Florida after the Worlds.

The rate is based on 18 boats, so we’ll probably have an informal meeting in HankØ and perhaps another in Skagen to get an indication of interest.
