The sisth race cancelled - due to the weather conditions

After an initial postponement due to a complete lack of wind and a big rain squall hovering over Capri preventing the see breeze from filling in – the Race Committee was able to give the first start at 1.30 pm in a light breeze of 6/ 7 knots predicted to build. Although the second race saw clear skies the Race Committee decided to cancel the third race scheduled for today.
With five races sailed and a maximum total of nine races in the series – Mascalzone Latino of Vincenzo Onorato. Mascalzone Latino, owned by Vincenzo Onorato – head of Mascalzone Latino – Capitalia Team – sailed sailed two outstanding races earning a first and a sixth. With America’s Cup veteran calling the tactics and with the british sailor Adrian Stead on the mainsail Mascalzone Latino won the first rainy race while second to cross the finish line was Cannonball Madina of Dario Ferrari with the America’s Cup veteran Tony Ray on the tactician’s role. – putting behind the German boat Struntje Light of Wolfgang Shaefer. On the second race of the day TWT of Marco Rodolfi with Tiziano Nava calling the tactics - was able to score the victory followed by Joe Fly and Enfant Terrible of Gianluigi Serena, whose napoleonan tactician Paolo Cian commented “ It was a very interesting day with a close race and. We did well in both races, a third and sixth which is good - the competition is not finished, there are still four more races but taking into consideration we are a new team we are really satisfied ”
